Arable Silage Mixes
These mixtures of high protein peas and high starch cereals produce fantastic quality forage which can be used as an addition or alternative to grass or maize silage. Whole crop cereals can be ready in 12 – 14 weeks from sowing and allow farmers to increase their levels of home grown forage, reducing reliance on purchased feed and fertiliser. These mixtures could also be used as a cover crop, useful for establishing an under-sown grass crop.
